ABOUT INVESTIGATIONS

The Minot Police Department Investigations Division consists of one Captain, one Lieutenant, two Sergeants, seven Detectives, one Liaison Officer, and one Office Specialist. The Officers assigned to this division investigate a multitude of criminal offenses from criminal mischief to homicide.

If you have recently reported a crime and are looking for information regarding the status of that open case, please contact our Investigations Administrative Clerk, to get you in contact with the detective that is assigned to your case.

CRIME INFORMATION

In you have information related to suspicious, criminal or drug activity in the City of Minot, please fill out the Crime Information Form for the City of Minot Police Department.

Please fill all required fields and give as much detail as possible. Although your name and other contact information is not required, it is beneficial for follow-up purposes in the event that more information is required. As always you are welcome to call the City of Minot Police Department at 701-852-0111.

If the situation is an emergency, please forgo filling out the form and call 911. Crime Information Reports will be checked periodically Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
