Overview

The Minot Zoning Ordinance Steering Committee (MZOSC) is an advisory board charged with oversight of the Minot Zoning Ordinance.  The committee was formed in 2014 to periodically review, revise, and update the ordinance to meet the goals and vision of City leadership.  The membership ranges from six (6) to eight (8) volunteers who are appointed by the Mayor to serve based on their background and experience.   Current members of the MZOSC represent land development, building construction, finance, design professions, city government, and general citizenry.  Activity of the committee varies based on scope of work. Meetings of the committee were suspended in 2018 to restructure the organization.  The committee currently meets twice monthly to conduct a rewrite of the zoning ordinance anticipated for completion in 2020.
