Hours of Service
Bus service operates Monday through Friday on a half-hour schedule between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.. Top of the hour routes are 34 - North Central, 32 - South 1, 31 - East, 37 - North. On the :30 routes are 33 - South East, 30 - North West, 35 - West, 36 - South West. There is no bus service on Saturday or Sunday. NO BUS SERVICE on the following Federal Holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas (days vary for the Christmas Holiday either 24th & 25th or 25th & 26th, it depends on what day of the week the 25th falls on). If a holiday falls on a Saturday there is no service on the Friday before the holiday, if a holiday falls on a Sunday there is no service on the Monday after the holiday. Minot City Transit office is located in the Public Works Department at 1025 31st St SE. Hours of operation for the transit office and public works is 8:00am till 4:30pm Monday through Friday, closed Saturday and Sunday. Both offices are closed for the above Federal holidays and also the following holidays: MLK Day, Presidents Day, Good Friday. PLEASE NOTE: BUS SERVICE OPERATES ON MLK DAY, PRESIDENTS DAY, GOOD FRIDAY!
Rules of Conduct
Passengers who willfully become destructive, unruly or abusive to a bus driver or other passengers will not be allowed to ride the city bus until a parent, guardian or adult involved contacts the bus superintendent or public works director at the number listed on the card they are given at time of the occurrence. This applies to ALL passengers. Including but not limited to: NO SMOKING, NO VAPING, NO FOOD, NO DRINKS (except water bottles that seal, no dripping or spilling), NO FOUL LANGUAGE, NO SCREAMING, NO MOVING WHILE THE BUS IS IN MOTION.
Transferring
All transferring takes place at the Minot City Transit Transfer Center located at 205 1st St SW.
NOTE: Be sure to ask the driver for a transfer ticket when you exit the bus at the Minot City Transit Transfer Center. This is the only time a transfer ticket is given. When boarding the next bus at the Minot City Transit Transfer Center, insert the transfer ticket into the farebox. Transfer tickets are not handed out to 31 day pass holders. 31 day pass tickets are unlimited riding per day for 31 days.
